Holy Listening

Dec. 8,  2003 005

Learn to listen to Me even while you are listening to other people.
As they open their souls to your scrutiny, you are on holy ground.
You need the help of My Spirit to respond appropriately.
Ask the Spirit to think through you, live through you, love through
you. My own Being is alive within you in the Person of the Holy Spirit.
If you respond to others’ needs through your unaided thought processes,
you offer them dry crumbs. When the Spirit empowers your listening
and speaking, My streams of living water flow through you to other
people. Be a channel of My Love, Joy, and Peace by listening to Me
as you listen to others.

From Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

one + one + one = ONE

There is a River flowing through the land,
It picks up drops of rainfall
all along the way;
It courses into oceans
that are mighty, full, and strong,
Bringing hopeful wonder for the day.

Come join the river
as we dance to save the Earth;
Blessing Her with acts of tender care.
We ~ the ONEs who heard Her cry
Now give our hearts and hands;
Returning gratitude ~ restoring Nature’s way.

Send Love

Send love

It’s 3 AM and I’m up to have my quiet time and do some writing.

This pattern has been part of my life for many many years.
It’s my favorite time of the day ~ to be still ~ reflect ~ and write
what’s on my heart;

~ to play beautiful music of worship and praise
~ to know the Presence of the Divine with me in total silence
~ to meditate on the Word and learn my tasks for the day,
and to pray ~ ~ ~

So here I am and here to BE ~ in blessing all around I sing Your praise.

The Spirit talks softly to my wearied soul. Continue reading

How Are Things With Your Soul?

Candle light 35254800292fd0af684a17b50460ca02

Dearly Beloved,

Since this is a website about healing the soul, may I ask: How are things with your soul?

I know, that’s a very personal question, and you may notice resistance coming up in yourself. It’s normal to want to set boundaries to protect ourselves from judgment of others.

Relax, dear friend. I’m not asking this question to put you on the defensive, or to make you feel like you have to answer to me.

Dear one, can you see it as an invitation to think on it in the safety and quiet of your own sacred space some time today?

It seems like a good thing to have a check-up on your soul now and then ~
to be aware if you are:

~ truly living from your soul rather than from someone else’s agenda that’s put upon you

~ to notice is there is any wounding in your soul that needs to be brought to light and healed

~ to be aware if your soul is in communion with the Divine or is longing for this connection and is crying out: “For You alone my soul in silence waits.”

How are things with your soul, dear friend?

Here’s a gentle prayer song for a moment of Healing Grace ~

May you be in the flow of Healing Soul Streams on this day.

Dyslexia ~ My Story

October is Dyslexia Awareness Month.  1 out of 5 people have dyslexia and many don’t even know it.  Most schools are not equipt to deal with the learning differences persons with dyslexia face.  So I’m re-posting from my other website Well Bless My Soul that deals with spirituality for those with dyslexia.

If you have had any learning difficulties throughout your life, I encourage you to check out one of the free screening sites for dyslexia that are available online.

Dyslexia ~ My Story

Dyslexia ~ My Story

Like many persons with dyslexia, I experienced trauma and confusion in my childhood. In grade one and two I spent much of the time standing out in the hall or in front of the class with my face to the chalkboard or sitting in the corner. The humiliation instilled a sense of unworthiness within me that affected my sense of self worth for many years. Continue reading

One Simple, Effective, Amazing Way To Stop Trauma Symptoms

Eve Primrose  b3849fadfbb2ffa55004e1626f2f71f6

If you or anyone you love is dealing with the effects of trauma in their life, I urge you to take a look at this amazing method before anything else. What I’m suggesting here is to investigate the possibility of a disorder in your body/brain chemistry that could be a factor in why you are experiencing challenging mood swings, PTSD, or clinical depression. I am not suggesting that you stop any medications or therapy that you are presently using. This is something I discovered in addition to other methods that have been helpful for me. This is something that can make your other growth work easier and more effective because so many of your symptoms will have disappeared.

You’ve probably heard the research findings that tell us 50% of our happiness level is already determined when we’re born. We come here with a specific genetic make-up
that affects our moods and sense of well-being. Continue reading

Fear And The Ebola Virus

silence  ba4ce6b2f1b68cb1d49f08cfa52623de

Fear of the Ebola virus is sweeping across North America.
People are dealing with the threats of the illness in different ways.
I want to share some research I have learned recently in the hope that it can bring greater understanding to this situation.

Fear is a natural body response when we feel our life may be in danger.
It can be our best friend to warn us to protect ourselves for survival.
Many people I know (let’s call them People A ) will be aware of the threat of Ebola and will dismiss any twinge of fear because their rational mind tells them there is actually no real threat to their lives at this moment.

But others I know (let’s call them People B) will hang on to the fear – cycling thoughts and feelings of all possible dangers over and over and over in their minds and bodies.

People A will tell them: “Stop this fear. You just need to trust in God – in your Higher Power. You have nothing to be afraid of.”

And People B will wonder: “What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I be like them, (People A) and have enough trust and faith that all will be well? I must be a terrible person to keep having this fear.” Continue reading

Into The Autumn Of My Life

Into the Autumn of my life I come
in gratitude for days gone by.
Moments of joy ~ but also grief;
A life of wholeness lived through me.

The present moment is a pause
to rest, reflect upon the way.
To shelter each memory
with tender care
to offer thanks
for blessings that could
be fully given for
my growth in grace: Continue reading
