I do not have to go
To Sacred Places
In far-off lands,
The ground I stand on is holy.
Here, in this little garden
I tend
My pilgrimage ends.
The wild honeybees
The hummingbird moths
The flickering fireflies at dusk
are a microcosm
Of The Universe.
Each seed that grows
Each spade of soil
is full of miracles.
And I toil and sweat
And watch and wonder
And am full of love
Living in place –
In this place
For truth and beauty Dwell here.

Thank you for your appreciation, Isabella. ❤
Truly my pleasure:D
Beautiful and true if we are open to the blessings. Thanks, Brad
I agree, Brad. If we but open our eyes and SEE.
This is beautiful. I reminds me how good I feel just walking around in my backyard. I would love to see fire flies again some day. It’s been a while. But at least there are still bees buzzing around.
Thanks for sharing JoAnne.

Thank you for reblogging from Healing Soul Streams.
as many Indian poet saints have said – he searched everywhere but could not find Him and then he looked within and there He was – the musk deer searches the whole forest for the aroma that is actually coming from within him – indeed our pilgrimage should end where we are. – excellent post
Thank you for your beautiful reflection on my post.
Ah yes, the treasure in earthen vessels.
Lovely poem. I’m heading out to tend my garden this morning, and will be thinking of your wonderful words as I work.
Ahhh ~ how wonderful to have a garden for contemplation.
It is in my garden that my soul comes to rest.
Anytime I am in nature, I feel like I am connected to Spirit. It’s a very special place for me.
We are so fortunate to know this blessing that comes through the gift of creation.
How beautiful. My thanks to you for sharing it.
You are so welcome, Cynthia
