Be the silent watcher of your thoughts and behavior.
You are beneath the thinker. You are the stillness
beneath the mental noise. You are the love and
joy beneath the pain.

Healing Soul Streams ~ ~ ~
Where Words Daily Come Alive.com
So many times in my life
Lord, you have saved me
From sickness and disease
You have always kept me
Very safe, and for that reason
I will daily give you praise
You have blessed me with
Your wisdom, laying vast
Amounts of knowledge into
My mind
A spiritual wisdom unknown
To most, unless they open
Their hearts so its wealth
they might find
My heart is pleased each
Morning, finding you have
Watched over me as I slept
As I rise up meeting the
Kiss of the dawn, I realize
Again how much I am blessed
I am but a very poor man
Yet within my heart the
Greatest treasure I possess
Because you have graced my
Life each day with your
Enduring gift of happiness
For you alone Lord have made
Me to smile again much brighter
Than the newly risen Sun
And I only seek new reasons

Into Your Hands
Simply beautiful
Thank you to Joe Passito
This Is Your Soul Talking
This is your soul talking;
Do you not hear
the distant longing
that is telling you your truth?
All that you are
All that you are
created to BE
Is buried in the
treasure of your heartsong.
Open this gift
and bring it to Light,
to shine your brilliance
well upon the way.
No other creature
can take the place of you;
to be the presence
of love in who you are.
In any moment
you can choose
to set her free ~
to soar in majesty
and holy awe.

Listen ~ ~ Listen
Listen. Listen to the quiet word walking your way on the evening air,
slipping in around the edges of your reason, speaking in whispers like the wind
lifting the curtains to come into your room. Listen carefully, listen intentionally,
be still and listen, for the voice of the Spirit speaks in stillness not in shouts,
calls to you in soft sounds not the clamor of the crowd. God knows your name.
God seeks you out, answering your prayers, offering you wisdom,
showing you where to turn. Listen to learn, to understand, for the holy is most eloquent
in silence. Someone is speaking to you, speaking in the quiet hours of your soul. Listen

Ideas Are Like Tall Trees
Be sure to listen to the reading of Suzy Hazelwood’s beautiful poem.
I am grateful to be reblogging this post from wordmusing.
.
Ideas are like tall trees
they begin microscopic
small beams of humble enlightenment
until a mighty body emerges
and boughs like warrior arms reach
draping and lush
inviting suggestion
I am surrounded
by many eager minds
towering above
my own narrow imagination
Kings and Queens
of profound thought
how they stretch to find me
so my inner eyes
may witness restoration
Ideas are like tall trees
where even darkness
fails to demolish

‘Ideas Are Like Tall Trees’ came about because of this image. I’d saved it in a file for inspiration for myTumblr poetry blog. The first thing that came to mind was how tall those trees were towering above the man, and for some reason that made me think of how ideas of the mind can seem so much taller…

Loves Desire
Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.
~ Khalil Gibran
Music as a Doorway to Prayer
I love to use music as a doorway to prayer.
Ann Kulp has so beautifully shared this creative way we pray.
Today’s post is by the late Ann Kulp
Music has called us to prayer through the ages: the shofar, psalm, pipes, harp, trumpet, the peal of bells, the carillon, and symphony. Some of us have been stilled and called through Tibetan bowls, whose sound lingers and leads us into the silence of waiting. There is the music of the gurgling brook, wind in the rustling trees, the chirping of cicadas and other natural sounds. There is the music of Native American flute, a jazz band, a Gregorian chant. It matters not what kind. Each is an echo of some sound heard eons ago, and perhaps remembered. At different times in our lives we may hear sounds that become moments of such recollection, drawing us more deeply into the attitude called prayer.
As I ponder the meaning of music for me, I have a sense of being touched deeply, as though…

It’s All Right To Be Human
It’s all right to be human. When your mind wanders while you are praying, don’t be surprised or upset.
Simply return your attention to Me.
Share a secret smile with Me, knowing that I understand.
Rejoice in My Love for you, which has no limits or conditions.
Whisper My Name in Loving contentment, assured that I will never leave you or forsake you. Intersperse these peaceful interludes abundantly throughout your day.
This practice will enable you to attain a quiet and gentle spirit, which is pleasing to Me.
As you live in close contact with Me, the Light of My Presence filters through you to bless others. Your weakness and woundedness are the openings through which the Light of the knowledge of My Glory shines forth. My strength and power show themselves most effective in your weakness.
