Poem: In This Motion

Blessed pondering ~ ~ ~

See Through World

wind from the sea, wyeth Wind From the Sea by Andrew Wyeth, 1947

In This Motion

It is present in this motion:
I lift a cup
I rinse a bowl
I kneel to light the stove –
I kneel
And my heart sighs open.

The Beloved who howls on the hillside
And kites among the clouds,
For this moment is here
In the crick of my bended knee.

This one whom my soul loves.

Who can say where it lists?
Now closer than breathing

Now away.
