Oh God,
How am I not being me today?
How am I not being my true self?
How am I denying the Christ who lives in me,
as me, through me?
Oh God,
Keep me from sabotaging all that you created me to be.
Help me to be my best self now!
May I have the patience of God for the mercy towards others
and towards myself.
May I be Christ-like in compassion and justice,
through Jesus Christ, my Lord, I pray. Amen

Your fragile children.

Draw us, in gentleness
and beauty to Yourself.

A Lenten Journey + 40 Days of Mercy + + +

Dear Friends,

Tomorrow, as the season of Lent begins, I invite you to walk the path of Jesus with me + which is all love, compassion, and grace . . . .  40 Days of Mercy + + +

During Lent it is customary to give up something, as a sign of penitence.
Therefore, let us give up hatred, anger, meanness, gossip, bullying,
bitterness, arrogance and self-pity.

May we be empowered by the Spirit and filled with the Love of God
to heal ourselves and heal the world through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Lord, in your mercy, may it be so.

Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling
and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another,
forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children,

Gracious God,

How wonderful it is to BE in your Presence ~
to worship you with Songs of Praise this morning.

I don’t have to DO anything ~
just BE in stillness ~ ~ in peaceful quiet of my soul.

I am filled with all Love and Wonder for this moment
in which we are ONE in the Spirit.

Your power flows through me to strengthen me
for this day ~ ~
~ ~ like streams of living water you restore my soul.

From here I go forth to heal the world ~ ~
through my very being ~ ~
as the temple of the divine you have created me
to be.

May it be so unto me.

Spirit Light

Gracious God ~ ~ Holy One,

Lead us into the freedom of the Spirit through Jesus Christ . . .
Shining the Light out of darkness.

By your loving kindness free us from our choices
to go astray.

Give to us all that is needed to serve you faithfully.

Inflame our hearts with the fire of your love.

Fill us with the Light and Life of your Spirit
to be witnesses to your kingdom here on earth.

Help us to be loving in all we do and say.

Through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen

As the year draws to a close . . .

As this year draws to a close, receive My Peace.
This is still your deepest need, and I, your Prince of Peace,
long to pour Myself into your neediness.
My abundance and your emptiness are a perfect match.
I designed you to have no sufficiency of your own.
I created you as a jar of clay, set apart for sacred use.
I want you to be filled with My very Being,
permeated through and through with Peace.

Thank Me for My peaceful Presence, regardless of your feelings.
Whisper My Name in loving tenderness.
My Peace, which lives continually in your spirit,
will gradually work its way through your entire being.

O Great Spirit
Whose whispers we hear in the winds,
To inhale the morning air giving life to All
We pray our simple words are heard.
Allow our footsteps to be light and full of beauty
Our eyes to see the miracle of flight.

Our hands open to receive all that you gift.
Allow our souls to experience the eternal love
