Morning Song

Morning Song ~ ~ ~

Gracious God,

How wonderful it is to BE in your Presence ~
to worship you with Songs of Praise this morning.

I don’t have to DO anything ~
just BE in stillness ~ ~ in peaceful quiet of my soul.

I am filled with all Love and Wonder for this moment
in which we are ONE in the Spirit.

Your power flows through me to strengthen me
for this day ~ ~
~ ~ like streams of living water you restore my soul.

From here I go forth to heal the world ~ ~
through my very being ~ ~
as the temple of the divine you have created me
to be.

May it be so unto me.

Be still ~ ~ ~
be quiet waters
running gently
running deep

Arise

I sit now in the silence as the darkness turns to light,
aware that this new day shall now begin.
Into the quiet stillness your Spirit calls to me: “Arise!
For you are meant for greatness on this day.”

I humbly bow in reverence to accept the tasks you’ve given,
in honor I shall serve you to the end.
Through your power and your glory
we shall live in one accord;
with mercy freely given, graciously.

May your will be done – – –
Your kingdom come to all throughout the world,
that love and peace shall reign upon the earth.

Lost

Lost

Stand still. The trees ahead and the bushes beside you
Are not Lost. Wherever you are is called Here,
And you must treat it as a powerful stranger,
Must ask permission to know it and be known.

The forest breathes. Listen. It answers,
I have made this place around you.
If you leave it, you may come back again, saying Here.

No two branches are the same to Raven.
No two trees are the same to Wren.
If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you,
You are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows
Where you are. You must let it find you.

The Truth Of Breathing

I come here to remember,
to feel more deeply the truth that I know.
I breathe in, the sound of my breath
blending with the river of running,
and the wind gently blowing by.
I close my eyes and go within.
I am one with the Infinite;
like the river, I am connected to the Source.

Here, in the peaceful clarity of the symphony
of the leaves rustling in the trees,
I easily call to mind and know the truth
of my Divinity.
Like the constant rhythm of an ocean’s waves
moving against and away from the shore,
my breath gently rocks me,
soothing me, reminding me I am whole.

The simple truth of my connection to Spirit hums,
a vibration in every cell of my being
repeating itself with every breath: I am.
I am one with God.

In Peace

Peaceful ~ ~ ~ Still ~ ~ ~
in Silent Wonder I behold Your face,
my Gracious Lord.
For in this Presence
all the fullness of love’s grace
is known full well;

in love’s embrace.

Listen ~ ~ Listen

Listen. Listen to the quiet word walking your way on the evening air,
slipping in around the edges of your reason, speaking in whispers like the wind
lifting the curtains to come into your room. Listen carefully, listen intentionally,
be still and listen, for the voice of the Spirit speaks in stillness not in shouts,
calls to you in soft sounds not the clamor of the crowd. God knows your name.
God seeks you out, answering your prayers, offering you wisdom,
showing you where to turn. Listen to learn, to understand, for the holy is most eloquent
in silence. Someone is speaking to you, speaking in the quiet hours of your soul. Listen
