About Anna Lin

Hello!  I am Anna Lin ~ also known as Pastor Linda Thomsen.  I am a retired ordained minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.

I am a wife, mother of 3, and grandmother of 4 wonderful beings.

My formal education resulted in a B.Ed. with distinction from the University of Alberta, Canada, specializing in early Childhood Education.  Later, attending Vancouver School of Theology, in British Columbia, and Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, I received an M.Div.

For 30 years I was a teacher, presenter, chaplain, and pastor of children and adults in many capacities.  I compiled and edited the book PRAYING One Day at a Time, published by the ELCIC in 1989.

Following severe pesticide poisoning in 1995 I have been serving in solitude with a ministry of prayer and spiritual support for the chronically ill.  For ten years I was the president of WindWood Retreat Society, a special ministry of the ELCIC and the United Church of Canada. Now, together with my husband Peter, we live a sustainable, non-toxic lifestyle of voluntary simplicity on a tiny island on the west coast of BC Canada ~ providing a wildlife sanctuary through care for the earth and all living things.

I am a dual citizen of the U.S. and Canada.

  4. Dear Anna Lin

I hope you, your husband, children and grand children are doing wonderful. You have a beautiful blog.

We have been following each other’s blog for quite some time now. I want to thank you for that. As my blog grew I struggled to give as much in return as I was receiving. I am sorry for that.

Due to this, I am moving my work to this newly created website:

    http://whitetreasures.weebly.com/

I am staying on WP without much content shared.

I wish you all the very best.
